Campaign for National Parks

The Campaign for National Parks (CNP) is a national charity. It works to protect and enhance the National Parks of England and Wales, and areas that merit National Park status.

CNP's mission is to promote the conservation, quiet enjoyment and understanding of the National Parks and areas of equivalent value.

The charity is the only national, voluntary sector organisation dedicated to National Parks. It is an umbrella of 43 environmental and amenity groups and aims to give the voluntary sector a shared vision and voice on National Park issues.

Funding

CNP receives subscription fees and donations from constituent organisations, the Friends of National Parks and Corporate Forum members. It receives grants from the Countryside Commission and the Countryside Council for Wales, which help to attract other income, including donations from trusts and institutional donors, and fees from sponsorship opportunities.

The Friends of National Parks

CNP runs a nation-wide membership scheme, open to individuals and groups. Friends receive CNP's magazine "Viewpoint" and information on campaigns. Selected Friends act as "speakers", giving talks to groups in their home areas.
