Halloween frights and devilish delights on the Pembrokeshire Coast this half term

If you’re looking to entertain your family with Halloween hijinx or spooky stories this half term holiday, then look no further than the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s three visitor attractions.

Carew Castle and Tidal Mill, Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre all have a whole host of eerie events in store to amuse your little monsters.

With activities ranging from a Bat Quest at Carew Castle, the celebration of Samhain at Castell Henllys and an opportunity to Get Arty for Halloween at Oriel y Parc, there’s something for everyone.

For those who scare easily, there’s also a chance to explore these legendary heritage attractions and enjoy the colours of autumn with a walk in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park landscape.

Events at Carew Castle and Tidal Mill include a guided tour of the Castle grounds complete with tales of its gruesome past with the Spooky Halloween Ghost Tour at 5pm on 29, 30 and 31 October.

On 29, 30 and 31 October the Castle will also host a Halloween Extravaganza with a day of fangtastic activities and games complete with a costume competition.

At Castell Henllys Iron Age Village you can enjoy Scary Fairy Fun at 11am and 2pm on 30 October and 3 November, learning about the magical Tylwyth Teg and create your own headdress or wand.

On 31 October Haunted Henllys will be a day packed with spooky activities including face painting, ghost stories in the roundhouse and the burning of the wicker man.

At Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre in St Davids, you can follow the Spooky Halloween Trail around the site from 27 October to 3 November and receive a spooktacular goodie bag as your reward.

On 31 October there’s a chance to create a macabre masterpiece with the Get Arty for Halloween paper craft and collage workshop at 10.30am and 2pm.
