What to expect when you visit Castell Henllys

Immerse yourself in the Iron Age as you explore our roundhouses that have been uniquely rebuilt on the very spot where they would have stood over 2,000 years ago. You will also have the opportunity to meet a friendly member of our tribe who will share their knowledge about prehistoric life. Included with your admission is a Guided Tour of the village at 12 noon.

Castell Henllys is also home to a peaceful woodland where there is a variety of wildlife to spot before arriving at the village itself.

Face masks

Wearing a face mask is compulsory in all indoor areas including our gift shop, other than when you are seated to eat or drink.

Children under 11 and people who cannot wear face coverings for health or medical reasons are exempt. For further details visit the Welsh Government website.

Visiting in groups

From 26 December 2021 Welsh Government guidelines state you must not meet with more than 5 others in pubs, cafes, restaurants and other regulated premises. For full details please visit the Welsh Government website.
