The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) supports projects that provide social, environmental, economic and cultural benefits, to improve the quality of life for communities in the National Park.
Our way of life is placing an increasing burden on the water, land and air upon which we all depend. Fluctuating fuel prices and constant warning of the effects of climate change mean that many of us are trying to live in a more sustainable way. This means that we have to balance our social, cultural and economic needs with those of the environment, in order to protect our natural resources.
Sustainable Development in the National Parks of Wales should ensure a better quality of life, not just now but for future generations as well. It should combine protection of the environment, creation of distinctive place, sensible use of natural resources and social progress. This is where our Sustainable Development Fund fits in!

How much funding is available?
Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has allocated more than £150,000 to the fund for the 2018-19 financial year, to provide financial and practical support to projects within or benefiting Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and its communities.
Who can take advantage of the fund?
If you are an individual, group of individuals, small business, a local organisation or a community group that has an idea for a project that will help improve the quality of life for current and future generations living in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, you could benefit from Sustainable Development funding.
Do you have a project eligible for funding?
Successful projects will achieve one or more of the following:
Projects can range from locally based to those applying across the National Park or a wider area. What if I need £1,500 or less towards my project costs?
You may be able to apply for funding from the Little Green Grant.
What is the Little Green Grant?
The Little Green Grant is a local grant initiative which is administered by Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS), with support from the Sustainable Development Fund and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
Like the Sustainable Development Fund, the Little Green Grant helps people to live in a more sustainable way by balancing the needs of people, the environment and our local economy.
