Our Sites

Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and Carew Castle and Tidal Mill are sites run by the National Park Authority to help visitors enjoy and learn about our past. They are also important havens for wildlife.

Castell Henllys
Castell Henllys Iron Age Village

Castell Henllys and Carew Castle offer an exciting range of activities and events for visitors between just before Easter and the end of October when they are open daily. There are usually guided tours available daily from friendly and knowledgeable staff. A network of public footpaths and rights of way are accessible from the sites from which the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed.

Castell Henllys and Carew Castle offer their own specially designed schools programmes aimed principally at Key Stage II of the national curriculum in Wales. Between them the sites cater for up to ten thousand school children per year from across Wales and England who learn about Iron Age Celtic society at Castell Henllys and the Tudors at Carew Castle.
