A formal timetable is set for the exchange of documents and comments relating to the appeal which all parties, the Appellant, the Planning Authority, The Inspectorate and any third parties, must follow.
The timetable can be viewed by clicking on Written Timetable in the main menu on the left.
After the exchange of documents has been completed, the Inspector will arrange to visit the site, either accompanied by both parties or, if there is no need to enter private land, unaccompanied.
After visiting the site, the Inspector will prepare his/her report and reach a decision – usually within five weeks.
This decision notice is then sent to both the Appellant and the Local Authority and to any third parties who have requested a copy.
