Commencement Order

On 28 June 2006 the National Park Authority resolved its intention to cease work on its Unitary Development Plan and to request the Welsh Assembly Government to prepare the necessary secondary legislation (a Local Commencement Order) to authorise the formal commencement of Local Development Plan preparation.

The Joint Unitary Development Plan for Pembrokeshire was formally adopted in June 2006 and is the current development plan for the National Park. This will remain the development plan for the area until it is superseded by a Local Development Plan.
