Starting at 10:00 10 April and finishing at 16:30 10 April
whole-day walk of about 7 miles connecting the old quays of Cresswell, Lawrenny
and Landshipping. Meet at the public toilets in Cresswell Quay with a packed
lunch and suitable clothes for the trek. Learn about the development of the
connected quays and the local coal industry. We learn that this inland waterway
holds many secrets, of both joy and despair, as we visit old military sites,
shipyards, ubiquitous castles, the oldest house in Pembrokeshire and the site
of a terrible mining disaster. Beautiful country views are included.
