Welcome to this year's selection of Activities and Events hosted by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority. We have a variety of exciting activities where you can explore the National Park and appreciate its wildlife, landscape, history and culture. Palstave Axe Head Workshop

Starting at 10:00 06 May and finishing at 16:00 06 May

Discover how some of the earliest metal tools were produced in prehistoric Britain and create your own Bronze Age palstave axe head.
Learn how to prepare a mould before using leather bellows to melt copper and tin on the charcoal furnace. You will also be given a complete picture of life and technology over 3,000 years ago.
This workshop will be led by James Dilley – an experimental archaeologist and a PhD Student at the University of Southampton, who specialises in prehistoric technology.
