The Llareggub: Peter Blake illustrates Dylan Thomas’s Under Milk Wood exhibition comes to Oriel y Parc as part of the Dylan Thomas 100 festival – a vast array of events, performances and activities across the world to celebrate the centenary of Wales’ best-known poet, and one of the most prominent cultural figures of the 20th Century.
The programme covers a range of art forms from concert and theatre performances to visual arts, comedy, television, film and exhibitions – all highlighting the significant impact Thomas continues to have on the world of literature and beyond.
The festival has benefitted from the Patronage of HRH The Prince of Wales, Dylan’s granddaughter Hannah Ellis, plus Sir Peter Blake himself, Welsh cultural figures including Bryn Terfel, Michael Sheen, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Rhys and Karl Jenkins, along with literary giants such as the late Seamus Heaney, Carol Ann Duffy and Gillian Clarke.
Dylan Thomas 100 is led by the Welsh Government in partnership with the Arts Council of Wales, and Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion local authorities.
