School Visits to Castell Henllys Iron Age Village

Castell Henllys is the only Iron Age Village in Britain reconstructed on the exact site where our Celtic ancestors lived 2,000 years ago. Here you can walk in the footsteps of the Demetae tribe.

The hill fort sits on an inland outcrop with stunning views of the surrounding countryside which today forms the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Meet some of the members of the Demetae tribe at Castell Henllys.

The school programme on offer is varied and covers a range of heritage education activities which explore the Iron Age hill fort and its surrounds. Living history is very much a part of the Castell Henllys experience. Most of the sessions focus on the Iron Age period of history.
