70@70 Challenge Discover Dinas island
Did you know that the Dinas Island itself was once owned by Ronald Lockley, a naturalist, who played a leading part in creating the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park? One of the most popular stretches of the Coast Path, this approx. 3-mile circular walk will challenge you with its steep climbs and descents, but you will be rewarded with breath-taking sea and mountain views. Clock up seven miles or so with our Ranger Chris towards your 70@ 70 challenge. Explore the southern parts of the Coast Path from Penally to Manorbier and discover how extreme weather and climate change have shaped the cliffs and the coastline. Join our Castlemartin area ranger and find out how the National Park Authority, Ministry of Defence and Defence Infrastructure Organisation have worked together to improve land management for conservation on the Range. As a result, this spectacular coastline provides home to many protected and rare species of seabirds, insects and plants.
