Pembrokeshire based artists, Clive Gould and Graham Brace, specialise in depicting the Pembrokeshire landscape and seascape in great detail, predominantly using acrylics and coloured pencil respectively. Both artists strive to show Pembrokeshire at its best, emphasising the stunning natural ruggedness and topographical characteristics of our unique coast and countryside.

Experience the Iron Age at Castell Henllys (10am-1pm slot)

To fully enjoy this experience you must arrive and check in before 10.15am. For an hour and a half of your visit you will become one of the tribe as the villagers demonstrate Iron Age life within each of our three main roundhouses. You will learn about how they prepared for battle, what they ate, how they made clothes, how they built their roundhouses and much more! You will even have a chance to have a go at the ancient (and fun!) art of the sling shot!

Experience the Iron Age at Castell Henllys (2pm-5pm slot)

Ian McDonald and Maria Jones will create a large-scale porcelain installation within the Tower space at Oriel y Parc, with a series of porcelain panels suspended from the Tower’s ceiling space. The work will be inspired by the experiences of those living in and visiting the National Park, and will aim to demonstrate the diverse nature of the area and the impressions it makes on residents and visitors alike.

All areas of the Castle and the Tidal Mill are open, including the Walled Garden and play area. Outdoor talks will be held throughout the day, covering different aspects of the Castle’s history. You will also have the opportunity to take part in a crafty activity or to watch a demonstration of an ancient craft.

Come and take part in this wonderfully relaxing workshop in our open sided tipi right next to the river. As you listen to the flow of the water and the beautiful birdsong our artistic workshop leader will guide you in creating your own sculpture or piece of art using clay and other natural materials from the surrounding woodland. Ticket price includes entry to Castell Henllys Iron Age Village.
