The gallery at Oriel y Parc displays changing exhibitions from national collections with a connection to landscape. The Visitor Centre presents the opportunity to learn about the National Park through the arts and the work of artists.
A new exhibition at Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre uncovers worms of all shapes and sizes, from the everyday earthworm to the extraordinary bone eating snot flower.
Discover the mind-blowing diversity of worms from the collections of Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales. Learn how important the humble worm is for our soils and environment.
This session is suitable for classes who would like to complement their learning in a wide range of curriculum topics with a fascinating experience.
Hosted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Oriel y Parc plus a National Park Ranger, pupils will learn about worms by taking part in a variety of activities:
- Explore the gallery space and specimens on display
- Discovery activities: storytelling, worm wording, collage creation, worm racing and worm charming
- A soil and worm science investigation.
