Gather up your rugs, low backed chairs, picnics, prosecco and bring friends and family together for a memorable summer of superb open air theatre entertainment at Carew Castle.

The Castle, managed by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, will come to life with three sparkling productions this July and August, including The Great Gatsby, a Dick Barton Special Agent production, and David Walliams’ Mr Stink. Booking is essential at www.carewcastle.com.

On Tuesday 27 July, don your glad rags, and dust off your Charleston and join Heartbreak Productions and the Nick Carraway quartet for an evening of 1920s jazz, for the classic bittersweet love story of The Great Gatsby. Bring your own prosecco – Prohibition is over! £15 adult, £12.50 concession, £10 child, £46 family (two adults, two children). Doors open 6pm, show starts at 7pm.

Red Herring Theatre returns to Carew Castle from Monday 2 August to Friday 6 August to present the hilarious family-friendly madcap comedy, Dick Barton: Flight of the Phoenix. Special Agent Barton, of the BBC’s 1940s radio serial, takes to the stage in his most death-defying adventure yet. Will Dick’s courage finally crack and his stiff upper lip tremble with fear when he meets the fiendishly fearsome Mr Huge? £12 adult, £10 concession, £8 child, £35 family (two adults, two children). Doors open 6pm, show starts 7pm.

On Tuesday 24 August, David Walliams’ humorous and heart-warming best seller Mr Stink is brought to the stage for ages 7+ by Heartbreak Productions. Chloe’s smelly new friend, Mr Stink, is not welcome to a tenth birthday party organised by everyone’s favourite MP candidate, Janet Crumb. £15 adult, £12.50 concession, £10 child, £46 family (two adults, two children). Doors open 5.45pm, show starts at 6.30pm. Ice cream will be available.

As well as a low-backed chair or rug, please bring warm clothes, a torch and a picnic if desired. Hot drinks are available to purchase.

Please note tickets are non-refundable and the performance will go ahead in wet weather. For more information and bookings, please go to www.carewcastle.com.
