Work Experience and Placements

Here at the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, we understand that work experience placements are an important part of career progression and personal development.

We believe that work experience should enable students to:

• learn and apply new skills
• interact with adults in the workplace
• explore career options
• have a positive introduction to the world of work

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority is eager to provide opportunities for students to gain an insight into our work. Whether you are assisting with projects at the Pembrokeshire Coast Headquarters or are out on the Coast Path with the Wardens, your time with us should offer you plenty of valuable experience which will also look great on your CV.

Work Experience

We currently offer work experience placements to students in Year 10-13. If you’d like to apply for a work experience placement complete the relevant application form and return it alongside your CV via email to our HR team. If suitable, you’ll be invited to discuss your interests in working at the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and explore options for a work experience programme tailored to your interests.

Work experience requests come in many forms, and departments will do their best to provide appropriate placements for each individual where possible.

Student Placements

If you are in higher or further education and are looking for research placements or would like to undertake a research project please complete the relevant application form and return it alongside your CV via email to our HR team.

You must outline the type of placement you are interested in and the duration of the placement you would like. All requests will then be sent to the appropriate manager to determine whether a work placement could be accommodated.

* Please note, we are not able to provide transport or accommodation in the area nor are we able to offer paid placements.
