Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust thanks Blakemore Foundation for supporting vital beach cleaning equipment

The Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust has expressed its gratitude to the Blakemore Foundation for their generosity in funding the purchase of vital litter-picking equipment, boosting efforts to protect the county’s spectacular coastline.

The new equipment will support the regular beach cleans organised by the Trust across the Pembrokeshire Coast, helping participants safely and effectively remove harmful waste from our beautiful beaches.

Abi Marriot, Funding Officer for the Trust, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Blakemore Foundation for their support. Their contribution enables us to equip participants properly, making every clean more impactful. It’s a real boost for our coastal conservation efforts.

“Our recent business-led beach cleans have proved popular, offering teams a refreshing break from the office, a chance to work together in a different environment, and a meaningful way to demonstrate their organisation’s commitment to sustainability. Many companies tell us that taking part strengthens team bonds while contributing to visible, positive environmental action.”

The Trust is looking forward to using the new kit at their next Pembrokeshire Business Big Beach Clean, and is keen to invite local organisations to get involved. This dedicated morning at one of the county’s most iconic beaches offers the opportunity to connect with other local organisations, and champion a cleaner, greener future for Pembrokeshire.

Suggestions for the autumn event are welcome as the Trust plans its next focus areas.

The Pembrokeshire Business Big Beach Clean will take place on Thursday 4 June 2026 from 10am to 12 noon at Freshwater West. Booking is essential, so please reserve your place with Abi at abim@pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk or 07773 788 196.
