Solva Harbour
DISTANCE: 0.8 miles (1.3 km)
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Service bus Solva 411, *Puffin Shuttle 400 (*seasonal, hail & ride).
CHARACTER: Edge of harbour, steep sections, views, some minor road walking. No stiles. Steps.
Take path at far end of car park along harbour. At T-junction turn right on to road, then left on to footpath up hill. At road turn left on to road past houses and on to surfaced footpath ahead.
Ignore steps to right and stay on surfaced path. At fingerpost turn left down steps to harbour and at bottom turn left back to car park, following road then harbour wall.
Solva, Gribyn
DISTANCE: 0.8 miles (1.3 km).
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Service bus Solva 411, *Puffin Shuttle 400 (*seasonal, hail & ride).
CHARACTER: Headland path, views. No stiles. Steep sections.
From car park cross footbridge over river and turn left, then right, up steps. Follow path and at fork take righthand path.
Go straight ahead, past first lime kilns, then left on to path uphill. Keep following path uphill, ignoring path going down.
At the top*, turn sharp left on to path on top of ridge. Follow ridge, ignoring paths going down, go through gate and take left-hand path.
Before next gate turn left, cross stile and follow path zigzagging down. Cross bridge back into car park.
*At the top it is possible to walk to rocky outcrop on headland and retrace steps.
Lower Solva
DISTANCE: 1.1 miles (1.7 km).
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Service bus Solva 411, *Puffin Shuttle 400 (*seasonal, hail & ride).
CHARACTER: Steep gradient, woodland, views, some road walking. No stiles. Steep sections.
Turn right out of car park on to main road, turn left before bridge into Prendergast and, at water pump, turn left on to narrow footpath.
It soon widens out and goes up hill and round to left. Stay on the broad grassy path, straight ahead on to drive down to road.
Cross road and turn left on to pavement. Where pavement ends, turn sharp right down road. Bear left to Sand Quay Slip and sharp left again back to car park.
