The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) - Supports projects that provide social, environmental, economic and cultural benefits, to improve the quality of life for communities in the National Park.
Our way of life is placing an increasing burden on the water, land and air upon which we all depend. Fluctuating fuel prices and constant warning of the effects of climate change mean that many of us are trying to live in a more sustainable way. This means that we have to balance our social, cultural and economic needs with those of the environment, in order to protect our natural resources.
Sustainable Development in the National Parks of Wales should ensure a better quality of life, not just now but for future generations as well. It should combine protection of the environment, creation of distinctive place, sensible use of natural resources and social progress. This is where our Sustainable Development Fund fits in!
