Seal Watching Walk – Llanwnda

As seal pupping season begins, join our local Ranger as they guide you around this lovely stretch of the coast path, and help teach you how to watch seals safely in the coves below. The walk will take us across fields and some coastal path and around 3 miles in distance.
Parking on the roadside next to the church in Llanwnda.

Full Day Seal Watching Walk – St Justinian
Saturday 27th September
This full-day walk, around 6 miles, begins with taking a coastal bus from Oriel y Parc to St Justinians from where we will explore the stunning coastline around St Davids. We will pass some seal-watching spots along the way and as the magic of seal pupping season unfolds, we’ll show you how to watch seals safely, for their benefit and ours.
Meet at Oriel y Parc, St David’s from where we will use the coastal bus to St Justinian (bus fees apply)

Crosswell Excavation Guided Tour
Tuesday 23rd September
Join the National Park Community Archaeologist for a tour around Professor Mike Parker Pearson’s excavation researching Neolithic archaeology in the Preseli. Location: Crosswell, near Eglwyswrw, Pembrokeshire. Note: this is an English language tour but the Community Archaeologist is bilingual, you are welcome to ask questions in Welsh or English on any of the sessions.

Apple Day at St Brides Orchard
Saturday 27 September, 11am-3pm
This is a unique opportunity to visit the orchard, which is not normally open to the public. There will be plenty going on, including children’s craft activities, apple pressing, a self-guided history tour, an apple trail and more. Rangers will be on hand to talk about the heritage orchard and the ancient apple trees found in it.
You may just want to have a leisurely stroll around the orchard and soak up the atmosphere, or bring a rug and have a picnic in the walled garden.
Admission is free to the walled garden and there is free car parking at St Brides or on site.
This is an outdoor event and weather dependant. If the event is cancelled this will be notified on this website and our social media channels.
Archaeology Day
Saturday 8 November 9:30am-4:30pm
The event will be hosted by the National Park Authority and will include a range of speakers covering recent excavations and projects from around Pembrokeshire, as well as an exhibition with information from community groups and organisations involved in the area’s heritage and archaeology.
The event will take place at Pembrokeshire College, Haverfordwest. Ticket prices include tea/coffee and lunch.
Please aim to arrive between 9am – 9:30am for stall browsing, tea/coffee. Talks will start at 10am

£18 Age: 18-30 or Student
£15.00 Age: 12-18 (under 16’s to be accompanied by an adult). Note: Under 12 years of age not permitted at this event.

What’s that Wader Walk – Little Milford
Saturday 13th December, 10am-1pm
Wrap up warm and join our ranger Chris to take a gentle stroll along the banks of Western Cleddau. Discover the wildlife that feeds along its shores. This is a great time to catch sight of winter wading birds such as curlew and redshank
The walk is around 3 miles along road and trail path. It may be muddy in places therefore please wear appropriate footwear. Binoculars are useful to spot birds. Meet at the Little Milford woods car park (no charge for parking)
