Landowners and developers invited to help shape the future of the Pembrokeshire Coast

The Plan will guide what kind of development can take place – and where – across the National Park between 2025 and 2040. As part of this process, the Authority has launched a Call for Candidate Sites, open from 26 January to 27 April 2026.

This is the opportunity for people to nominate specific parcels of land they believe should be considered in the Plan – either for development or for protection. Suggested uses can include housing (including affordable housing), employment sites, retail or commercial space, renewable energy projects, green infrastructure and leisure facilities.

Sites submitted during this window will be assessed using a detailed methodology that takes into account national planning policy, environmental designations, infrastructure, and viability. The strongest sites will be shortlisted for potential inclusion in the Deposit Plan, due to be published in 2028.

To be considered, a site must be submitted via the Candidate Site Submission Form, available at www.pembrokeshirecoast.wales/call-for-candidate-sites-ldp-3. A separate form is needed for each site, and supporting evidence is encouraged – particularly in areas affected by flood zones, nature designations or other known constraints. An interactive constraints map and detailed guidance notes are also available online.

Submissions must be received by 5pm on Monday 27 April 2026, and cannot be treated as confidential.
