Let's Walk Pembrokeshire

Let’s Walk Pembrokeshire is promoting a range of activities, events and routes that will help people take the first steps to making walking a part of their daily routine.

Coordinated by The Pembrokeshire National Park Authority, the Let’s Walk Pembrokeshire initiative supports the work of the Creating an Active Wales Pembrokeshire Partnership. Partners include the National Trust, Communities First, and Pembrokeshire Libraries.

Let’s Walk Pembrokeshire Free Workshop Sessions
20 November 2017

Location: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, Llanion Park, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, SA72 6DY. 

A FREE two part workshop to help groups and organisations learn more about the opportunities and benefits of walking. It is NOT essential to attend both the morning and afternoon session

The workshop will help you to encourage people to walk as part of everyday life, and give information on how walking is beneficial to health and wellbeing. The workshop will also show how walking can be integrated into other activity such as education, community work, health and social care.

Morning 10am-12 noon Information (Part 1)
The morning session will provide information on the Let’s Walk Pembrokeshire initiative and the resources available to all, it will include information on the health and social benefits of walking as well as tips and advice on how to make walking fun and enjoyable for all.

Afternoon 12.30pm-3.30pm Practical (Part 2)
The afternoon session will be a practical taster session to include defibrillator demonstration and advice on health and safety, tailoring walking opportunities to group needs, route planning, map reading and making walking fun and enjoyable for all, plus a short walk.
