Pippa Cunningham
Pippa Cunningham works exclusively en plein air, capturing the atmosphere and the immediacy of place into bold, fluid compositions. Working directly from life, she simplifies and condenses the landscape, distilling its essential forms, light and colour. Having grown up in the wild beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast, her work is deeply informed by her long-standing relationship with this incredible landscape.
Her glowing gouache and acrylic paintings become more than depictions; they are a celebration. They convey a profound hiraeth—not as a longing for a lost past, but as the joyful, full-hearted connection to a home she has rediscovered.
Pippa’s work can be seen in the Tower from Friday 7 August until Sunday 20 September 2026
