Renewable Energy Supplementary Planning Guidance

The purpose of the Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) is to provide guidance to support the positive implementation of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Local Development Plan 2, Policy 33.

Renewable energy generation is a key part of the commitment to reducing reliance on fossil fuels, tackling the climate emergency and meeting the Welsh Government’s targets to achieve decarbonisation. In addition to powering and heating homes, buildings and businesses, renewable energy can bring social and economic benefits through job creation in the manufacturing, construction and maintenance industries.

An earlier version of this guidance was adopted under Local Development Plan 1.
