PCNPA have funding available from the National Parks Partnership and BMW to install an EV charging point to serve a local community within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. We are therefore putting a call out to community groups and not-for-profit organisations who would like to have an EV charge point installed.
As well as providing a useful local facility, payments from car charging may create a small amount of revenue for the successful community group. The successful community group will need to have a car parking space which could hold the charge point (“Pod Point”) and capacity to manage the online platform (“back end”) for the charger.
This funding is through a partnership between National Parks and BMW UK & Ireland and therefore the beneficiary organisation will be required to:
- Agree to partnership branding on the charging posts for the period of 3 years.
- Agree to report on usage of the posts on a quarterly basis for a period of 3 years from installation.
- Be accepting that social media posts will be delivered around these charging points and beneficiary organisations will be asked to share if appropriate.
- Sign a transfer agreement on installation.
- Note that the Pod Point platform will be free to use during the term of the BMW/NP partnership following which there will be a charge.
|£150 per socket (covers all call-outs, replacement parts, fixes and remote maintenance for 12 months.
|Data & Back-Office System
|3 year data & back-office at £60 per socket p/a
|£60 per socket p/a
|Tariff PAYG Transaction Fee
The successful organisation would pay £60 initially for access to the back-office system. From the start, Pod Point would take 1p from every kWh used in charging, however you are allowed to set the cost of charging so could take this into account.
After the 3 years of the partnership, you would pay £60 p/a for the back-office system, plus £150 p/a for the warranty and maintenance. In addition to this 1p from evert kWh used in charging would continue to go to Pod Point.
