One of Pembrokeshire’s most popular dog-friendly attractions is poised for the return of an event which will set tails wagging around the county.

Carew Castle’s Doggy Day Out, which will see canine companions and the proud owners take over the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority-run site, will take place on Saturday 10 September.

In what promises to be a paw-fect day out, one of the highlights will be a fun dog show, with tasty doggy prizes supplied by the event’s sponsor, Burns Pet Nutrition. Canine visitors will also be able to test their prowess in the dog agility course or dog scurry.

Carew Castle Manager Daisy Hughes said: “This day promises to be a delight for dog-lovers and their four-legged friends with activities and events for them all to enjoy.

“Carew Castle is dog friendly all year round, but the Doggy Day Out presents a unique opportunity to celebrate our special bond in a day that’s been organised especially for man’s best friend.”

Throughout the day, stalls will be selling treats for dogs and humans alike. There will also be an opportunity to take the gentle walk around the Millpond and enjoy the fun ‘dogalikes trail’ along the way.

Carew’s Doggy Day out will take place between 10am-4pm on Saturday 10 September. Normal Castle admission fees apply and there will be a small charge for some activities.
