Epic endurance on screen: Sanna’s record-breaking run comes to Fishguard
The Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust and Kelp and Fern are inviting audiences to an inspiring evening of endurance, community and wild coastal beauty at Fishguard’s Theatr Gwaun on Friday 28 November.
The event will feature the exclusive screening of a new documentary capturing ultrarunner Sanna Duthie’s extraordinary record-breaking run along the 186-mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path, which she completed in an astonishing 48 hours, 23 minutes and 49 seconds.
Filmed and directed by Martin, the film follows Sanna’s journey as she pushes the limits of human endurance against the dramatic backdrop of the Pembrokeshire coast. It tells a story not only of athletic determination, but also of deep connection to nature and the landscapes that inspire her.
Following the screening, Sanna will take part in a live Q&A, giving the audience the chance to hear firsthand about the challenges, triumphs and moments of inspiration she experienced along the way. Questions can be submitted in advance by emailing abim@pembrokeshirecoast.org.uk by 14 November.
Katie Macro, Charity Director of the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust, said: “Sanna’s incredible achievement captures the true spirit of the Pembrokeshire Coast, its beauty, its resilience and its power to inspire. Her story reflects the strength and determination of someone who not only loves the landscape but is committed to protecting it. We’re delighted to be part of this special evening celebrating her journey.”
The evening will begin at 7pm with a short presentation from the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust and filmmaker Martin, before the feature-length screening at 7.15pm. The Q&A with Sanna will follow from 8.45pm.
Tickets are priced at £8, with all proceeds supporting the work of the Pembrokeshire Coast Charitable Trust, which funds conservation, heritage and engagement projects across the National Park. Doors open at 6.30pm and the bar will be available throughout the evening.
The event promises to be a celebration of endurance, community and the wild Pembrokeshire coast, a landscape that continues to inspire runners, adventurers and nature lovers alike.
