The Pembrokeshire Branch of the Young Archaeologists Club (YAC) was established by staff from the National Park Authority, along with local volunteers interested in history and archaeology.
The branch organises monthly sessions, where club members will be encouraged to discover, visit, make and explore through a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities.
YAC is the only UK-wide archaeology club for young people aged between the ages of eight and 17. In 1993 the Club was taken over by the Council for British Archaeology, whose President is Tony Robinson (from Channel 4’s Time Team).
There are many advantages to becoming a member, including a special YAC magazine and a pass giving free or discounted entry to over 180 independent heritage sites across the UK.
Young Archaeologist Club members enter Castell Henllys for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Please come and join us – get in touch with Karen Everson at Castell Henllys on 01239 891319 for further details.
